Pokemon Hunting

Psst... psst...

I know, I know... everyone is crazy about Pokemon-Go nowadays. Don't be shy to admit, cause I am too! I will switch on my 'Pokemon Hunting' mode most of the day, except when I am driving, when I am asleep, when I am cooking and of course when I am at work. Lagipun dalam my office building, tak de GPRS maaaa....

And bila kat rumah kalau ada time-time dah boring sangat, I main Pokemon-Go. Ye lah sebab kat ASTRO ni kenkadang tu balik-balik cerita yang sama je. Asyik-asyik Spiderman, asyik-asyik Spiderman, ASTRO ni kontrak dengan Spiderman sampai mati agaknya.

Merujuk kepada gambar di bawah, now, please help me, between these two, mana satu Pokemon? Takut salah tembak karang, tak pasal kena terkam! hehehehe...

Lie A Little

Psst... psst...

I haven't written for quite some time kan... Banyaknya sawang labah-labah! Habuk tebal berapa inci dah ni? Tapi tragedy semalam membuatkan saya nak menulis.

Sebelum puasa hari tu, sempat la timbang berat. Well, at that point of time I weighed 63kg. It's 9 kilos additional since I got married to my hubby 2 years back. Jap, nak buat calculation jap. That's, on average, 0.4kg per month! FYI, I am 1.71 meter in height.

Then puasa came, so kind of a blessing kunun. Yes.... tapi betapa remuknya hati, pertengahan bulan puasa, penimbang tu tunjuk 62kg. Whaaattt? Banyak tu je turun? Then datang last day of puasa, saya timbang lagi, it's stll 62kg. Grrrr... puasa mati-matian pun tak turun jugak ka. Ishhhh...

Well, told myself, "I guess I have to live with it". Orang kampung cakap "terima la hakikat, awak tu sememangnya gomok!".

Fast forward, last night, as I stripped off infront of the mirror (hah, jangan imagine yang bukan-bukan! pervert much!), I asked my husband, "Well, dalam berat 63kg pun, tak de la out of shape sangat kan, yang?".

My husband just said simply, in a flat voice tone (uninterested with the topic), "yeah... you still have the shape". Then continued playing with his handphone.

I replied, "Awwww... thanks baby".

Then my husband replied back dengan nada yang flat, "Round is also a shape, baby". Mata masih kat handphone.

To which I ran towards him, grabbed a pillow on the way and hit him with it. Haiyaaaa... ingat kot supportive, rupanya nak pekenakan. Uwaaa....! I am BIG & ROUND! Reality sucks!

Why husband, why? Why couldn't you lie a little? Pffttt....

I Need To Breathe

Psst... psst...

Fuhhhhhhh.... punya lah lama tak hapdet blog ni. Tersangat la busynya. Busy dengan macam-macam hal. Hal seperti kerja, kerja, kerja dan kerja.

Tapi sempat la jugak pergi bercuti sempena menyambut wedding anniversary kitorang yang pertama. Ingat lagi tak I pernah post bertanyakan idea lokasi yang sesuai untuk wedding anniversary? Kalau lupa atau belum baca, ni link dia http://psstpsstblog.blogspot.my/2015/10/psst-psst-24th-january-2015-marks-our.html

Akhirnya, takde satu pun dalam list tu kitorang pilih. Nak tau kitorang pergi mana? Tak nak tau? Tak nak tau sudah..... :(

Tapi nak jugak bagitau.... kitorang pergi Chiang Mai, Thailand. Asyik-asyik beach aje, so mainstream sangat kan. Kali ni kitorang pilih sungai pulak.

Sekarang ni dah balik dari bercuti, terus sambung busy dengan kerja, Nanti lah ya, dah kurang sikit busy, I hapdet gegambar kitorang kat Chiang Mai.

For the time being, I need to get back to work. Busy, busy, busy... oh boy, I so really need to breathe!!

Feeling Nostaligic

Psst... psst...

Haish... semalam kemas laci meja di office. Lama betul tak bukak laci tu sebab memanjang kerja audit kat luar kawasan. Dalam dok selongkar tu, tetiba ternampak my mp3 player. Dalam tu memang penuh dengan lagu-lagu lama. Dulu rajin dengar mp3. Sejak busy audit di luar kawasan, jarang dah dengar lagu. Lagipun sekarang ni boleh je dengar lagu guna handphone kannnn... kesian, terabai my mp3 player tu.

Sekali keluarlah OST Grease 2, tajuk Love Will Turn Back The Hands Of Time nyanyian Michelle Pfeiffer & Maxwell Caulfield. Maka teringat la akan kenangan manis masa muda remaja dulu (muka layu je, tengah berangan. Kih kih kih...) Flashback bukan main.

Infatuation. Stupid crush. Puppy Love. Secret Admirers.

Well, I was born in mid 70s. So I grew up with great TV series and movies like these.... let's see if some of you have seen them too!

Beverly Hill 90210 : Masa TV3 (masa tu takde ASTRO) announce diorang bakal siarkan siri BH90210, my sister and I menjerit-jerit keseronokan. Dok selalu baca kat magazine pasal diorang, now keluar kat TV Malaysia. Kisah kehidupan teenagers yang rata-rata anak orang kaya. Masing-masing ada cerita mereka tersendiri.

Clueless : Hahahaha... I love Alicia Silverstone in this movie. Lawa gila. Style pun menarik! Kisah anak orang kaya yang sangat spoil yang cuba membantu kawan dia yang tak vogue jadik vogue.

Girls Just Want To Have Fun : Nih sebab suka lagu Cindy Lauper "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun". So tertengok movie ni sebabkan tajuk dia. Tup tup memang best. Kisah pasal budak remaja minat menari tapi tak dipersetujui oleh mak bapak dia.

Jem & The Holograms : Nih kartun bersiri. Kisah girl band baik Jem & The Holograms yang berentap dengan girl band jahat the Misfits untuk menjadi popular .

The Big 4-Oh!

Psst... psst...

So I've hit the big 4-Oh!
Another milestone.
Scary as it may sound (the BIG 4-OH! You're getting old! Soon you're gonna die! Geddit?), but life has to go on.
So I am just gonna chill and enjoy every moment of my existence.

And of course, my birthday was celebrated at Nobu, KL, pre-arranged by who else.... my ever-so-charming husband. Awww... thank you, meatloaf, you shouldn't have!

Our picks were the Yellowtail Shashimi Jalapeno, Toro Tartar, Baby Tiger Shrimp Tempura - Creamy Spicy / Ponzu / Jalapeno and Black Cod with Miso, Miso Soup and mocktails (drinks). Yummeh!!!

And then, last but not the least, a cute but delicious birthday cake that came as a surprise. Awesome!

First World Problem

Psst... psst...
You know what, for the past 3 months, my lovely darling husband had been losing sleep and it's all because of this one silly handphone he wanted to buy so badly. There's nothing wrong with the old one, just 'gatal' nak up-to-date with the latest technology. Eventually, he cannot tahan anymore, so he ordered one. Yes, you heard it right, he ordered, means he beli online.
So finally he got it last weekend. The silly handphone was finally here to take over our life! For the past 2 days, my hubby had been seen doing nothing else but inspecting, examining and playing with his new handphone, doing stuff like transfering data, sync-ing contacts and downloading apps. The only times he was seen not touching his new handphone were when he was asleep or having his meals or when we had to go to the toilet.
For 2 days, I was left alone. I felt neglected. Empty. Lonely. Depressed. Sad.
Something had to be done. I could see that this was gonna take a while for him to get back to his normal self, so, last night I thought I'd distract him, well to see if he still remembered his wife, if he still noticed that his wife wasn't dead yet, if I am still his number uno. So I asked him...
"Yang, yang, dah key-in contact number semua orang?"
"Dah... baby"
(glad he still called me baby, ingat kot dah lupa dah)
"So, of all the contact numbers you have, whose number did you key-in the first?"
"Aiyaaaooh... yours laaa... that's by default, maaaa... aiyaaaoooh"
(then he continued playing with the handphone)
There goes our romantic life, gone down the drain. So everybody, I'm very sad to tell you that it is confirmed now that I have lost my husband to a handphone... pffttttt....!

Right At My Back

Psst... psst...

Today's story....

It was 7:00 am in the morning and I was feeling rather lightheaded. I texted my boss telling him that I would be in a bit late. Then I tried to get back to sleep... but I couldn't. So, I just closed my eyes and berangan yang indah-indah.

At about 8:00am, husband got up and saw me next to him.

Hubby: Hey, you're up late. Not going to work today?
Me: I'm going to office a bit late today. Not feeling too well. I'll go out when you go out.
Hubby: Are you ok, baby? I'm gonna get ready in 15 minutes.
Me: Nah, just a mild headache, but I'm fine. Thanks baby. And yeah, 15 mins sounds good.

15 mins later, he got up from bed, I got up from bed. We both showered. Got dressed. We prepared Felix (our cat) his food and water and said bye-bye to him. And then finally, we got out of the house together.

On the way to our cars...
Me: I'm headed to Kota Damansara, you to Damas?
Hubby: Yepp baby. We'll be on the same route and in the same direction, from home up till Jalan Duta. Ain't that sweet?
Me: Nice...

When we reached our cars...
Me: Ok baby, have a productive day ahead. I love you!
Hubby: You too. Drive safely, don't drive too fast, be handy with your signals. Look left and right before you turn. Don't play with your phone. Love you, don't worry baby, I'll be right at your back.

And that is why I was on my very extremely best driving behaviour on my way to work this morning! At least up to Jalan Duta. Hehehe...

Well, behind every successful man, there's a great woman. Behind every well behaved woman driver, there's ... errr.... her husband! Ngeeee.... :D

Kisah Benar

Psst... psst...

Bershopping memang seronok, apatah lagi bila tengah sales, sanggup tinggal suami pergi shopping sensorang. Bila dah sales tu, apa baju pun nampak menarik kan. Haish... singlet kodi pun cantik. Apa lagi cargas la dok mengutip baju kat rak sebab nak try. Terasa la kejap macam minah dalam citer Confessions of a Shopaholic tu kan... berangan much!

Dah setel pilih baju, maka seharusnya seperti manusia-manusia normal, saya pergi fitting baju-baju tu dulu sebelum bayar. Tapi malangnya fitting room penuh pulak! Yang menunggu giliran pun ramai. Tapi... saya sanggupkan jugak la melanguk dekat 15 minit kat tepi fitting room, tunggu giliran. Bila la amoi ni nak keluar. Allo amoi, lu try baju ka jahit baju?

So terpaksa la cuba 3 helai je dulu. Aishhh....

Haish, tak nama pompuan sejati la kan kalau tak buat perangai cam tu. Masa tengah queue pun mata tak habis melilau lagi. Sengsara sungguh.

Setelah beratur 20 minit, akhirnya saya sampai jua kat depan kaunter. Muka berseri-seri penuh semangat nak bayar. Seronoknya, lepas ni almari penuh dengan baju baru. Kedengaran minah kaunter tu cakap "Akak, semua sekali RM375". Saya pun hulur la credit card saya kepada dia. Dia boleh plak cakap "mintak maaf, credit card machine offline". Sambil tunjuk signboard kecik atas meja tulis "Credit Card / Debit Card Offline". Tu laaaa, mata gatal melilau tengok baju-baju, sampai tak perasan kewujudan signboard "Credit Card / Debit Card Offline" tu.

Adoila, mana nak raba duit. Dalam purse ni ada la RM100. Mana nak cukup bayar semua baju kat tangan ni haaa. So dengan lemah longlai saya cakap "Tak pa lah dik, saya amik selai saja ya". Kecewa sungguh, setelah berhempas-pulas beratur berkali-kali kat fitting room lepas tu beratur lama pulak kat kaunter, cuma selai je berjaya beli. Ya, saya repeat, sehelai sahaja! Sakitnya hati.

So, moral of the story - LAIN KALI, BAWAK SUAMI PEGI SHOPPING SKALI!

My Prinz

Psst... psst...

Ini cerita lama diceritakan semula. An old story retold.

Half way up the hill, I stopped for a while to inhale the fresh unpolluted air. Far beyond the horizon was a bewitching view of sky-scrapers and buildings that decorated the bustling city of Kuala Lumpur. As I was marvelling the scenery, I heard hoof-beats coming fast towards me. That must be the other riders. My horse, Prinz, started prancing softly, feeling excited at the company that will be arriving soon. I kind of agreed with Prinz. It definitely was quiet and lonely up here.

As the other riders gathered around me, we continued our ride up to the top of the hill. On the way up, as I was stealing a look at Prinz, I felt a jolt of sensation in me. The sweat that glistened his well-built body, the cool breeze blowing his mane, his steady speed that brought an adrenaline rush to me. Simply marvellous! We cantered and jumped over every obstacle. It definitely was the best ride ever in my lifetime. Some riders were already few meters ahead of me and some were left far behind. It was like in a "cowboy scene". I knew Prinz loved this kind of excitement so much that I thought I saw a smile on his face.

As I was about to reach the top of the hill, I urged my horse to a slower pace and we trotted all the way up. As we reached the top and as we waited for the remaining riders to arrive, we wondered at the brilliant sight of the city. The sun was about to set and soon it would be dark but the city was already gleaming and sparkling with beautiful colorful lights. The remaining riders finally arrived and I got off my horse to check on his hooves. Grateful that Prinz did not hurt himself when he was in the middle of an 'excitement' few moments ago, I patted his shoulder and he responded with a neigh. Looking up I saw all riders were lost in their own thoughts. Prinz neighed again, breaking the rather dramatic silence.

We took our time to descend the hill. Most of the time we trotted and stopped only at FRIM Botanical Garden for a short rest. We reached the ranch around 1900hrs and quickly unsaddled the horses. After I bathed Prinz, I led him to his stable where his food and drink had already been prepared. I squatted down watching him savour the fresh grain. I could never describe how proud I was to have him. Powerful that he was but yet so gentle on the other side. I found myself so much more in love with him. Day by day it grew stronger. Until one day Prinz had fallen terribly sick. We had no choice but put him to sleep.

It's true then - Good Things Never Last.

A Walk In A Garden

Psst... psst...

Few days back, my hubby and I went to The Gardens at MidValley Megamall, to have something to eat. At the same time, just to have some quality time together. And yes, our quality times are mostly spent outside, not so much at home.

It was a lovely feeling as we both slowly toured around the mall, side by side, hand in hand, cheek to cheek... ok ok, cheek to cheek didn't happen at all. Just a made-up. But try to picture the situation yourself in a dreamy mode!

So, back to that lovely feeling.... yeah, a beautiful feeling indeed (remember to put your dreamy mode on!). It's like walking in a garden covered with fresh green grass (shoes $$), colourful flowers (handbags $$) and lush trees (dresses $$) and... with the butterflies (accessories $$) flying everywhere.

Then there's a couple of deers peeking (home appliances $$) through trees, some rabbits (jewellery $$) hopping around playing with each other and... there... a group of blue birds (watches $$) perched in the trees chirping beautiful melodies. This garden must be huge, it contained almost everything!

I turned to my husband and said, "Ain't it beautiful, baby?"

He nodded in agreement and replied softly, "Yes, indeed the garden is so beautiful! But no baby, we're not gonna pluck those flowers or capture one of the butterflies and bring them home though. They are much better untouched, well, you know, in order to preserve the beauty of the garden. Touching them may cause damage, not only to them or the garden, but also to you and ..... to me".

He smirked. I sighed.

So, there you go, my story of going to the mall but not doing any shopping at all. Pfftttt....!!!

Siri Bercakap Dengan Jin

Psst... psst...

Before I proceed, need me tell you that my husband is a Chinese and sometimes dia ni jenis lambat pikap kalau borak hal hal orang Melayu. So one night, as we were searching for what to watch on the TV, we came upon this one channel showing a documentary about jinn, ghosts and paranormal stuff. My husband suddenly asked me a few questions and the conversation went something like this:

Husband: Well, I thought Chinese and Indian suka bela jinn. Melayu pun ada ya.
Me: Yeah, you just knew about it? I pun ada jinn.
Husband: *terbeliak mata* (perhaps regretting that he is now stuck with me)
Me: Why? Kenapa muka terkejut? Betul la, ramai Melayu ada jinn. I also ada maaaa...
Husband: When? How?
Me: Alaaaa... lama dah. Masa muda dulu. Dekat 10 tahun dah ada jinn.
Husband: *terkebil terkebil* (perhaps thinking whether he should propose a divorce or not)
Me: *makes a serious face, trying my best not to burst into laughter*
Husband: *frowns, eyes on TV*

After a long 2 minute pause, he asked again. Cuak la tu kann...

Husband: Why didn't you tell me? Is it harmless? Kacau orang tak?
Me: As for mine, it helps me a lot. Once a while, kacau sikit la. Sometimes kena keluar duit when my jinn buat hal.
Husband: If harmless, should be ok kot. *still frowning*
Me: Siap ada nama lagi tau...
Husband: Really? What's its name?
Me: Proton Saga Gen2.
Husband: Huh? *terkebil-terkebil*
Me: Gen = Jinn. Hai laaa..... bertahun dah wife pakai Gen2, takkan tak tau lagi!

Apalagi, saya kena geletek la sampai tak boleh bernafas! Gelak kaw-kaw, the whole neighbourhood might have heard us!

Ha ha ha.... It is always good to pekenakan dia like this.

Kesian.... muka cuak gila!
