Think, People, Think!

Psst... psst...

I am in total agreement with him... same case dengan spesis yang menggila nak mati syahid kat Mekah time Haji / umrah, sedangkan Nabi kita wafat di Madinah.

Say, "I ask you to do just one thing : For God's sake ! Stand up in pairs and singly, and then THINK!.." AQ 34:46

Pendek kata, ada akal, pakai!

I'm No Hijabister

Psst... psst...

I have 5 translated Qurans in my possession, all from various sources and they are either in Malay or in English. And I use them pretty heavily as my reference, especially on religion-related issues. I do not need to refer to any lebai or lebaiwati because Quran is the easiest book to read and understand. If you can solve mathematical equations, chemistry problems, study the galaxy, you can definitely understand the al-Quran.

Allah has promised that Quran has been made easy to understand, as indicated and repeated 4 times in Surah Qamar (54:17, 54:22, 54:32, 54:40)

"And We have indeed made the Qur'an easy to understand and remember: then is there any that will receive admonition?وَلَقَدْ يَسَّرْنَا الْقُرْآنَ لِلذِّكْرِ فَهَلْ مِن مُّدَّكِرٍ"

See... and you know Allah never lies.

Well, here are some good articles for you to read... pure logic and make sense.

And read this one too http://ashwed1973.blogspot.my/2015/12/hijab.html . It is written in Bahasa Melayu, kalau tak faham jugak, tatau la kan.

After you have read it through, now you know why I do not adorn hijab until now. Because it is purely cultural - Arab culture. And I believe it's the woman's behaviour, her moral, her attitude that define her whether she's a good or a bad woman.

Surah al-A'raf (7:26) - "Children of Adam, we have provided you with garments to cover your bodies, as well as to adorn you. But THE BEST GARMENT is the garment of piety/righteousness. These are some of God's signs, so that they may be mindful."

But don't get me wrong, I'm not against those who want to wear hijabs and I am not stopping anyone from wearing it either. Most of the people I know are hijabisters, but I have no problems making friends with them. So long we live by this rule - aku tak kacau kau, kau jangan kacau aku - all will be fine.

This is just my opinion, my belief, my understanding. Trust me, I could not find anywhere in the Quran that says hijab is mandatory. Even if it is, I strongly believe God will look at many angles before He judges us. God is great, pengasih dan penyayang. God is not stupid!

I don't follow blindly, I read and do a lot of checking first before I take action or believe into something. And I will always keep my curiosity level high and keep applying critical thinking by always asking questions (how, why, what, when, who). That's how we learn new stuff. Discover new things. I have a brain (God's greatest gift) here within my thick skull and I intend to use it well.

They are killing their own brothers and sisters yang percayakan Tuhan yang sama. Adakah ini Islamik? Apakah ciri keislaman umat Middle East tu benar-benar Islamik, atau hanyalah 'made-believe' dan syok sendiri? Nak salahkan siapa? Salahkan Amerika, salahkan Yahudi? Jangan salahkan syaitan, syaitan itu memang jahat, salahkan diri sendiri kerana terpedaya dan tak tau menilai apa yang baik apa yang buruk. And we still nak follow cara makan, CARA BERPAKAIAN, lifestyle, kaum-kaum Middle East yang mundur dan barbaric ni?

Go figure....

Lapar

Psst... psst...

Ok ni cerita serius. Sejak kebelakangan ni, asyik lapar aje! Kadang-kadang tu, pagi makan nasi, tengahhari makan nasi, malam pun makan nasi. Sehari tu penuh nasi aje.

Lama gak la mimpi tu mungkin sebab sedap sangat. Satu suap satu suap, dua setengah pinggan jugak habis.

Well, my husband sometimes likes to tease me by calling me 'Fan Towng' (tong nasi), cause I must have rice at least once a day. But usually I have rice for all my meals. Kalau sehari nasi tak masuk perut, esok get ready la tahan I punya 'lion-crankiness'. Seekor singa kalau dah cranky, don't play-play, okay. Kena ngap tak pasal-pasal karang!

Kadang-kadang punya la lapar, tengok kucing I Felix tu pun macam berselera. Gebu kental je daging dia. Nasib baik la dia tu kucing, comel plak tu. Kalau dia tu ikan, lama dah kena goreng buat cecah budu.

Adoiiiiii.... tersebut budu, kan dah laparrr!! Ish, teringat plak makan ikan singgang cecah budu kat Selera Ramai Ikan Singgang hari tu.

Ok lah, nak gi makan. Ni dah jadi singa lapar sangat dah ni. Aummmm!!!

Wake Up Call

Psst... psst...

It is a bright sunny morning. I think I’ll take my brand new Ferrari for a spin around town. Yeah, why not? Why not bring the crazy horse out and let the silver BMW rest today.

Call up my two favourite friends cum business partners and tell them to wait for me at the Paradise Restaurant, Kuala Lumpur. We’re gonna have fried lobsters, steamed crabs and fried squids with chili for lunch.

My Nokia N95 rings as I am about to exit the house. I hear my Aussie property agent’s voice on the other line, saying words in thick Australian slang. It is about a condo I have long planned to buy in Sydney, Australia. After a moment of discussion through the phone, I make up my mind and instruct him to secure the condo. There, the AUS$2 million condo is finally mine!

I get in the car and drive off with the roof-top down and Fergie’s London Bridge on the stereo. As I reach the Paradise Restaurant, the two are already there waiting for me, with all foods ordered and ready on the table. One is an anak Dato and the other one is a Tan Sri himself.

So most of the time we talk about our business strategies and the possibility of venturing into the China and New Zealand’s markets, while enjoying the lobsters, crabs, squids and the apple juice. What transpire from the meeting are as ‘delicious’ as the foods we are swallowing. I am so grateful for I have two  good reliable partners to keep my business growing.

A few minutes later, I order a banana split and some fruits to settle my poor overstuffed tummy. Good thing about the restaurant is that it provides a good massage treatment here for a good after-meal relaxation. Of course, you need an extra bill to pay. Since my business is running well, why not!

So I tell them two to carry on talking and discussing about the business strategies while I close my eyes and enjoy the light music… and the massage. Da… daa… da…daa… ahhhh those lovely tunes and sweet melodies just ‘rock’ me to sleep.

Then suddenly…

“Alo cik adik, wake up! Tido pun boleh senyum-senyum ke? Bangun la, dah pagi, breakfast dah siap… Nanti lambat sampai keje … takut stuck in the traffic jam.… nayaaaa saja kalau kena pecat nanti!”

Hmmm… if only life is as beautiful as the one I had before the wake-up call… ahhhh (sighs)!

Seriously Nothing To Write About Today

Psst... psst...

I seriously don't know what to write about today.
When I say I seriously don't know, means I really really really don't know.
It's just that there's nothing much to tell.

Should I write about food I love to eat?
Well no, that's so lame. I mean the kind of food I have been having lately is lame.
What's new with nasi lemak, roti canai, sushi and nasi ayam.

Should I write about my past travel moments?
Nahhh, I have written about them way too many times.
I need a break from writing about my travels and I have not been to a new place for quite a long while.

Should I write about my OOTD?
Nothing extravagant about the clothes I wear daily. It's just jeans and T.
I only wear nicer clothes on special occasions.

Should I write about the things I love doing?
Like what? Watching movies? Lame.
Travelling? Guess you've known about it from my previous post.
Blogging? Just started and... that's it.

Should I write about my cat?
Sleep and eat, that's all he does everyday.
And oh, he meows like every 30 minutes.
If I write about him, it'll be meows throughout my post.

So... I am left with nothing to write about today.
Seriously nothing.
Sad.

Don't Forget The 'S' - lah!

Psst... psst...

Guys and girls, if you wanna congratulate your friends for whatever reasons in the world, the right way to say it is....

Congratulations or Congrats! With an 'ass'... eh silap.. with an 's'.

Not congratulation nor congrate! Nak grate (kukur) apa? Kelapa? Meh sini I grate lidah korang!

Hidayah... Like Seriously?

Psst... psst...

I just have to 'mengumpat' in this post.

A friend of mine posted a photo of her husband and Malaysian singer Sheila Majid up on her Facebook. A moment later, came this one kutu berahak and wrote "Apa nak jadi mak hajah sorang ni. Semoga dia dapat hidayah" in the comment thread.

Seriously?? What hidayah are you referring to? How much hidayah have you gotten, makcik? Enough to send you to heaven, izzit? Is it because she doesn't wear a headscarf like you? Or is it because she is more beautiful than you are? You may think you can condemn such people, but you are just as bad as the satan. So how can a foul mouthed person like you obtain hidayah? Ke syok sendiri saja? What have you contributed to the world and mankind?

If this is the kind of people that will be flocking to heaven (which I doubt so), I can imagine the huru-haraness and the torturous eternal life I have to spend in there. Urghhhh....
